Coco & Boo Company Policies

HOLIDAY SERVICES :

In addition to the regular rates, we charge an additional $20 per visit for the holidays listed: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

HOLIDAY CANCELLATIONS:

Cancellation of service scheduled through and around holidays must be cancelled no less than 7 days prior to the first scheduled visit or 75% of the total scheduled service fees will apply.

SERVICE BOOKINGS:

Service bookings should be made at least 48 hours in advance of your first desired date. We can often accommodate last minute bookings, but there will be an additional $5 per visit.

For liability reasons, we do not participate in shared care engagements. Any service schedule where a 3rd party assumes partial responsibility for the care of your pets would be considered “shared care”. An example of this would be a situation where a neighbor handles the mid-day care of your pets while we provide the morning and nighttime care. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis if there are family members, living in the household, that may be home.

We require at least 3 visits per day for households with dogs. If you have a doggy door, the minimum is 2 visits per day. Households with cats only, small mammals and/or birds are eligible for 1 visit per day.

ARRIVAL TIMES:

We do not set exact times for our visits unless your pet requires a time-critical medication (such as insulin). All visits will be scheduled and performed with a 2-hour time period.

KEYS:

Keys to your home must be kept on file with us or stored in a lockbox. If you do not have a lockbox, Ask your Coco & Boo care provider for one of theirs. If you would like your key returned to you after the service is complete, there will be a $20 additional fee. If you are moving or being deployed out the area, we will return your key to you, free of charge.

SUPPLIES:

Please leave ample cleaning supplies, extra paper towels and trash bags when going away. We do carry a small cleaning and first aid kit in our cars, but our supplies are limited and we prefer to use the cleaners and products that you and your pet care are comfortable with.

Please text or call us at (760) 519-1419 to check in when you are returning home. If we can’t get in touch with you, we will continue to care for your pets until we have made contact with you. There will be an additional charge of $10 for any additional, unscheduled visits in addition to the regular service fee. This also applies if we arrive at your home and find that you have returned.

We prohibit the use of cameras or sound recording devices in bathrooms, or primary areas of the home utilized by our staff members during Overnight or 24 Hour Round the Clock Care sits. If a Pet Sitter find there are undisclosed cameras in these locations, or during these specific services, we will terminate service immediately.

CANCELLATION POLICIES:

Regular Visits/Walks

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice: 50% of total scheduled service will apply.

Daily Dog/Cat Visits

These programs are designed to be ongoing, regular services. We build our day’s schedule around them. A $10 cancellation fee may apply to cancellations made within a 24 hour period. If you are ill, please contact us before 9am on the day of the service and we will confirm your cancellation with no charge. If we arrive at your house before you contact us to cancel, you will be charged for the full visit.

Overnight and 24 Hour Round the Clock Care

Cancellation with less than 7 days notice of total: 50% of total scheduled service fee will apply. This includes any Regular Visits that are paired with Overnights Care. If cancelled within 7 days, a credit on your deposit will be issued towards your next service, otherwise, the deposit is forfeited.

Early Return

Please remember that we reserve all of the times for your pet’s care when your schedule is confirmed. If you return home early, charges for the rest of the visits scheduled will still apply. No credits will be applied unless it was discussed and approved prior to the scheduled visits.

PAYMENT POLICIES :

Payment is required prior to the first day of service. We offer several payment options to choose from. Bi-monthly invoicing is available for anyone with more than 10 scheduled visits per month. Dishonored checks will incur a $50 service fee plus any charges made by the bank. We accept the following as valid payment options:

Credit Cards, PayPal, Cash, and Checks

Credit Cards: will be invoiced, via Square prior to the first day of service

PayPal: payments will be invoiced, via PayPal prior to the first day of service and be made to loricat8@gmail.com

Checks: Checks should be made out to Coco & Boo or Coco & Boo Pet Concierge Plus.

Checks and Cash will be invoiced and collected at the time of the Meet and Greet appointment when service is booked and prior to the first day of service.


Please note we have done our best to ensure fair and comparable prices for the valuable and professional service we provide to you. Should you have any questions regarding our fees or policies, please feel free to discuss them with the Coco & Boo Pet Concierge Plus Management.

Your Pet Care Specialist works hard to give the best service possible. If you would like to appreciate your specialist with a gratuity, you may do so with leaving cash in an envelope clearly marked Coco & Boo care specialist, a separate check, or you may add the amount to your payment check, credit card or PayPal payment and we will make sure they receive it and know it’s from you.
